Anushka was seen alongside Shahid Kapoor, Vi Das, and Meiyang Chang in the 2010 movie "Badmash Company". The film received mixed praises. Anushka Sharma starred in the movie 'Band Baaja Baaraat. The actress played the role of a Punjabi woman of middle class who owns her own wedding company. It received a favourable review, and was considered a sleeper success. Anushka was able to complete the three film contract with Yash Raj Films.
